The plans, which include widening of Platform 2, include a new footbridge over the railway track to be placed at the south end of the station.
The new bridge will include a lift, for providing accessible access which is currently not available.
The bridge will be cladded with brick, which matches the surrounding materials according to it's Heritage Impact Assessment.
The station is currently Grade II listed.
All the plans for the submission can be found on the Powys Planning Portal by searching for '23/0201/LBC'.
It is likely that town councillors will support the application with Powys County Council, as the planning authority, making the final decision.
