What does this show me?

We've looked at the percentage spend of the budgets of three public bodies and then use your council tax bill to show an illustration of what each pound is spent on.

Why only an illustration?

We're only able to show an illustration as the three public bodies only derive a certain percentage of their entire income from council tax - Powys County Council (approx 31%), Dyfed Powys Police (approx 55%) and Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council (98.3%).

Why only Newtown?

We are a site dedicated to Newtown - we have examined the Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council budget and included this in the spend tool. The other elements of Powys County Council and Dyfed Powys Police will apply where ever you live in Powys.
