A Newtown resident has pleaded not guilty to charges of walking his XL Bully dog without a muzzle in town green spaces.
Carl Fraser, 30, from Heol y Coleg in Newtown faced three charges at Welshpool Magistrates' Court this week relating to his XL Bully called Bronson.

The charges included allowing a fighting dog to be in a public place without a muzzle and two counts of possessing or having custody of a fighting dog.
The incidents allegedly took place on 20th April in Dolerw Park and The Park in Newtown.
As Mr Fraser pleaded not guilty he will appear back in Welshpool on Monday 6th January 2025 to consider his case.
The charge of possession of a prohibited dog is an offence under Section 1(7) of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and sentence can range from discharge to six months custody.
