The Town Council are appealing for partners for their upcoming Kicking off Christmas event, which is set to return to the High Street.

Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council are seeking expressions of interest from interested organisations who wish to help deliver this year's event.

  Kicking off Christmas 2024

This event starts at 30/11/2024 09:30am and is being held at Town Centre. Tickets free. Click here for more information.

As we'd reported last month, the Council discussed partnering up with organisations to deliver the event due to staff shortages at the Council.

Expressions of interest for interested organisations need to be sent to the Town Council by the 1st October 2024 via email to [email protected].

The report to councillors last month confirmed that most of the event planning has been undertaken, including plans for closure of High Street and fairground rides and activities for children in the Town Hall Grounds.

The annual Kicking off Christmas event came under fire last year from residents on social media demanding the return of the event to the High Street, as it shifted away to the Town Hall Grounds during Covid. The total budget for the event is £10,000.
