McKenzie took on the role of stand-in manager earlier this month following the dismissal of Scott Ruscoe due to a disappointing start to the season. In a statement released by the club, McKenzie has been appointed as the first team head coach, having previously served as assistant manager and technical director at Newtown. Meanwhile, Ruscoe's assistant, Nathan Leonard, has also parted ways with the club after a brief five-month stint.

Despite Williams moving to Caersws last season, he remains Newtown's Head of Academy and will now juggle this position with his new responsibilities as player-assistant manager. With over 500 appearances for Newtown and a strong performance for the Bluebirds this season, Williams brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Newtown CEO Paul Wetton expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointments, stating,
"I am extremely excited by these appointments. Having already worked with Callum and Craig at the club in their other roles, I can say with absolute confidence that they are two of the best coaches that I ever had the privilege to work with."
The changes in management signal a fresh chapter for Newtown Football Club as they strive for success under the leadership of McKenzie and Williams.
