According to police.uk data, there was a total of 178 crimes recorded in Newtown during July 2022, which is up from 165 crimes in June 2022. 39% of these crimes were classified as violent or sexual offences. Other crimes included burglary, bicycle theft, drugs and criminal damage or arson.
