This newly revitalized garden is now home to a diverse array of flowering plants specifically chosen to cater to the needs of pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Each plant has been thoughtfully selected to offer essential nourishment and shelter for these important insects, ensuring they have a safe and welcoming habitat to thrive in.

A spokesperson for the town council said:

"Explore our garden adorned with a diverse array of flowering plants thoughtfully selected to cater to the needs of pollinators. From vibrant blossoms to lush foliage, each plant has been carefully chosen to offer essential nourishment and shelter for bees and butterflies alike."

"Visitors can now benefit from educational signage showcasing a comprehensive list of pollinator plants found within the garden. This addition not only enhances the visitor experience but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the diverse flora that sustains our local pollinators."

"St. Mary’s Butterfly & Bee-Friendly Garden is part of Newtown’s broader initiative to achieve Bee Friendly status. By establishing habitats that support a rich diversity of wildlife, including crucial pollinators like bees and butterflies, the town council is actively contributing to biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability."

"We invite residents and visitors alike to discover the beauty of St. Mary’s Butterfly & Bee-Friendly Garden and join us in our mission to protect and preserve our natural heritage. By supporting projects like this, we can collectively work towards creating a more bee-friendly environment and ensuring the well-being of our local ecosystems."
