The 2023 Newtown Food Festival is set to kick off with a vibrant and energetic celebration as locals and visitors are invited to join a ceilidh.
Taking place at the iconic Hafan yr Afon on Friday, 1st September 2023, starting from 6:30 pm, this lively evening promises to be a memorable one with fantastic music and dance.

The main attraction of the Ceilidh is the electrifying performance by the renowned local band, Ffonic, who will take center stage and set the tone for an unforgettable night. Their fusion of traditional and contemporary music is sure to get everyone's feet tapping and bodies moving.
Adding to the excitement is the presence of the talented caller, Claire Weston, who will guide the attendees through the Ceilidh dances. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, Claire's expertise ensures that everyone can participate and have a fantastic time.
Admission to the Ceilidh is just £6 per person or £7 on the door, making it an affordable and entertaining evening for all. Families are especially welcome, with accompanied children under 16 enjoying free entry. Caffi Hafan, will be serving delicious refreshments throughout the evening, and a well-stocked bar will also be available for those looking to quench their thirst.
