However, locals have expressed their dissatisfaction with the speed bumps in comments on Councillor Jones' social media post. Some have noted that the bumps are dangerous, especially near schools, as children might not stop for cars. Others have complained about the damage caused to their vehicles, with one person saying they lost items from their van racking and even experienced broken parts due to the bump.
Some residents argue that the speed bumps are unnecessary and were placed in locations where speeding is unlikely. They suggest that the money spent on installing the bumps should have been used to resurface the road instead.
Cllr Jones said:
"I have had many complaints regarding the speed bumps on Treowen. It is mainly the bottom one that is by the junction onto a Kerry Road.
I have raised this as an issue and have been sent a reply from the officer who is dealing with the scheme.
I will continue to raise and fight this issue as it doesn't feel right.and we need it changed."
