According to the Powys County Times, the court heard that on September 8, Beeson's black Audi A1 was left in the middle of Kerry Road in Newtown after a collision with a barrier rendered the front right wheel unusable.
Mr Beeson, upon being apprehended, confessed to the authorities. "Yes, I'm drunk, I've driven my car and crashed and I've had enough," Beeson told the police, registering a breath test reading of 64mg per 100 ml of breath, almost twice the legal limit.
Mr Beeson was fined £300 and obligated to cover a victim surcharge of £120 along with costs amounting to £85, totaling £505.
Additionally, he received a driving ban spanning 22 months until August 2026. However, completion of a drink-driving rehabilitation course by January 2026 could make him eligible to resume driving by March 2026.
