Thursday promises some reprieve for many inland areas, with chilly but sunny conditions. However, brisk northwesterly breezes will make temperatures feel colder than they are. Expect showers—some potentially wintry—in western parts of the UK, including Wales and the northern reaches of England.
Friday brings the likelihood of a widespread frost in the morning, but temperatures will creep up slightly through the day. A quieter spell of weather will give way to rain moving southeast, possibly bringing showers to Newtown by the evening.
