Why was a helicopter over Newtown this week?

Residents in Newtown took to social media earlier this week to voice their frustration over the noise of a circling helicopter that disturbed the peace of the town.

The disturbance occurred at nearly 10pm at night, prompting many locals to share their grievances online about the intrusion on their quiet evening in the town.

A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police provided clarification on the situation.

The spokesperson stated:

"Dyfed-Powys Police requested the assistance of the National Police Air Service (NPAS) to locate an individual in the Newtown area at around 9.50 pm on Tuesday, November 12."

"The individual was located, and officers are now continuing with their enquiries."
