The Newtown Musical Theatre Company (NMTC) is beaming with pride as they clinched an impressive haul of 6 prestigious National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Wales & Ireland Awards for their enchanting production of "Shrek The Musical."

The accolades commenced with NMTC receiving a District Award for Outstanding Stage Management/Technical, recognising the dedication and expertise that goes into the behind-the-scenes magic of their productions.

Four more District Outstanding Performance Awards followed suit, honoring the outstanding talents of four remarkable individuals. Gareth McMurdo, who portrayed the beloved Shrek, was acknowledged for his remarkable performance, bringing the iconic character to life with heart and humor. Rob Jones, who embodied the lovable Donkey, was celebrated for his infectious energy and charisma on stage. Jodie Breakwell, who portrayed the enchanting Fiona, captivated audiences with her stellar performance and vocal prowess. Lastly, Ethan Andrews-Hardiman, recipient of the Youth Award, impressed everyone with his portrayal of the devious Lord Farquaad, showcasing immense talent and promise.

The excitement didn't stop at the district level, as NMTC was crowned the winners of a Regional Outstanding Production Award - an incredible achievement.

The Newtown Musical Theatre Company is now gearing up for their next captivating performance, "Made In Dagenham The Musical," set to grace the stage at The Hafren from October 5th to 7th. With their track record of excellence, this promises to be an unforgettable show!
