Town Councillors will consider the application at their monthly Economy and Environment Meeting, held on the 1st August 2022. Town Councillors can only submit comments to Powys County Council's Planning team and do not make the final decision.

The plans were submitted in June and valdiated in July. The application's planning statement said:

"The ground floor provides a retail unit, with larger shop frontage."

"The upper floors are two bedroom flats with the exception of the top floor which has a single bedroom"

"The rear flats and top floor flat benefit from a priate balcony each with views over the river"

"The proposal through the replacement of a local eye sore within the town centre provides positive enhancement to the town centre, the adjacent listed buildings, the conservation area and the general locality"

The application can be viewed online here or by visiting the Powys Planning Portal and quoting reference '22/1033/FUL'
