The talented ladies at Newtown Knit and Knatter have unveiled a new postbox topper in town, paying tribute to the upcoming Carnival and the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
The topper features a stunning model of a carnival float, adorned with vibrant colors and festive decorations. Alongside the float stands a knitted soldier, alongside some poppies in remembrance of those who served during the historic D-Day landings.

Excitement is brewing in Newtown as preparations for the Carnival, making its return this Saturday after a four-year absence, are in full swing.
Residents and visitors alike are eagerly anticipating the festivities, as the town comes together to celebrate this special occasion.
Knit and Knatter Newtown will be hosting a stall at the Carnival, where they will be showcasing their handcrafted creations. All proceeds from the sale of items on their stall will be donated to local charities, highlighting the group's dedication to giving back to the community.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to take a leisurely stroll down High Street to admire the exquisite postbox topper created by the talented members of Newtown Knit and Knatter.
