Dobson appeared in Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on March 7th, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of maliciously wounding Chris Barnes on September 29th of last year.
However, magistrates deemed the case too severe for their jurisdiction and forwarded it to Mold Crown Court. Dobson is scheduled to appear there on April 6th.
Dobson also faces a similar charge for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm to Sean O'Flaherty outside Newtown’s Pheasant Inn on October 29th, 2022.
Dobson denied this charge in December last year and attended Mold Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He pleaded not guilty in January, and the case has been scheduled for a two-day trial, set to commence in Mold on June 28th.
