The figures were taken between the 19th April 2023 and 2nd May 2023 and reveal that the Gravel Toilets, located opposite the Post Office are the most popular with an average of 8,588 visits per week. The second toilet block, located at Back Lane saw an average of 5,448 visits per week - giving a total average of 14,036 visits per week.

The current cleaning contract for the two toilets is coming to an end and is currently being re-tendered, with a new contract to commence on the 1st July 2023.

Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council took over the responsibility for the management, maintenance and service of the two public toilets blocks in their town from Powys County Council in October 2015. Use of the toilets is currently free of charge and are open 7 days a week between 7am and 7pm.

Interested parties are invited to tender to the Town Council by 12 noon on the 31st May 2023. The tender documentation can be viewed here.
