The report, written by Robin Green, the Impact and Governance Manager at Ponthafren is due to be considered by town councillors at it's Strategy and Corporate Projects Committee meeting on 1st September 2022.
The scheme, which the Town Council gave 2,000, employed a Volunteer Organiser to recruit and match volunteers to organisations who needed them. In the year 2021-2022 the scheme delivered 38 volunteers, 14 of which were between the ages of 14-25. The scheme also managed to create 8 new opportunities for 14-25 year olds and delivered 8 case studies on the benefits of volunteering.
Town councillors are expected to vote to close the project at their meeting.
