The community grant programme awards eligible organisations thousands of pounds each year.

In a statement, the Council said:

"At Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council, we are committed to nurturing initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the betterment of our beloved community. Our Community Grant program is a testament to this commitment."

"We encourage organisations from a wide range of sectors to apply, including but not limited to education, healthcare, arts and culture, environmental conservation, and social services."

"The application deadline for this round of grants is September 30th. Don't miss this opportunity to secure funding for your community-based project."

"In our most recent grant cycle, we proudly awarded just under £9000 to deserving projects within our community. Some of the remarkable beneficiaries included the Mid-Wales Model Engineering Society, Montgomeryshire Family Crisis Centre, Hub of Hope Foundation, and N-Able."

For information about the Community Grant program and access to the grant application, interested parties are urged to visit the council's official website at www.newtown.org.uk or reach out to the council office at 01686 625544.
