Junior football event to rejuvenate village offering

Kerry Football Club is taking a bold step forward in revitalizing community sports by reintroducing junior football to the village for the first time in 15 years.

The club is hosting a special community event aimed at inspiring a new generation of young footballers.  

The event will take place on Sunday, 19th January, from 2–4pm at Dolforgan Park in Kerry, and is open to boys and girls aged 5–16.

The session is completely free, making it an accessible opportunity for children of all abilities to get involved, have fun, and learn some football skills.  

“This is just the first step in building a vibrant junior football program in Kerry,” said new chairperson Ben Price.

“We want to create a welcoming environment where kids can develop their love for the game, make friends, and be active. This is about more than just football—it’s about bringing the community together.”  

The club is keen to encourage as many families as possible to take part.
