Four Powys County Councillors, including one from Llandinam, have defected to Reform UK Wales, bringing about a significant political shift in the county council.
A number of councillors from Powys County Council have made the decision to join Reform UK Wales, with two Conservative councillors leaving their current parties and two independent councillors choosing to align themselves with the new political group.

One of the former Conservative councillors who made the switch labeled the party led by Nigel Farage as “the only party that represents the values I have always believed in”.
Reform UK Wales announced that Cllr Geoff Morgan of the Ithon Valley Ward and Cllr Claire Jonson-Wood of Llanyre with Nantmel Ward have joined their ranks.
The party also welcomed two Conservative councillors, namely Cllr Iain McIntosh of the Yscir with Honddu Isaf and Llanddew ward and Cllr Karl Lewis from the Llandinam with Dolfor Ward, who have now become Reform councillors.
Cllr Lewis reaffirmed his dedication to representing the interests of the residents of Llandinam with Dolfor Ward, promising to advocate for the issues that matter to his constituents.
A Reform UK Wales Spokesperson said,
"Councillors have a strong track record of serving their communities, and we are confident they will continue to fight for the interests of their residents under the Reform UK banner.
"Their support further strengthens our commitment to challenging the status quo and delivering real solutions to the issues people care about."
