A second air ambulance consultation meeting is set to be held in Newtown after being requested by concerned residents.
The eight-week public consultation phase is soon ending over plans to remove the Air Ambulance located in Welshpool.
The NHS Wales Emergency Ambulance Services Committee (EASC) is holding public meetings in the area to inform people about the current service and future considerations. Local politicians have stressed the importance of taking part in the engagement process to ensure the base remains open beyond 2026.
The second meeting will be held on Monday 5th June 2023 between 6pm till 7:30pm at the Monty Club in Broad Street.
Cynthia Duce, one of the leaders of the Save Welsh Air Ambulance Welshpool Base campaign said:
"Please please for the ones that weren't able to attend for many reasons [the first meeting] I hope you can attend this one and for the others that did have questions, but were unable to ask it, it will allow everyone to have another chance."
This will be the final public meeting as part of the consultation on the closure of two air ambulance bases which includes the base in Welshpool.
