Residents and visitors in Newtown are in for a treat next weekend as Leisure Centres in Powys, are hosting an open weekend on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September.

The event promises a range of exciting activities for people of all ages and interests.

  Leisure Centre Open Days

This event starts at 28/09/2024 08:00am and is being held at Maldwyn Leisure Centre. Tickets free. Click here for more information.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy free gym access throughout the weekend and try out various fitness classes. Whether you are a fitness enthusiast or looking to kickstart a healthier lifestyle, there's something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

Families can make a splash in the pool with free swimming sessions available at selected centres. Additionally, children under 16 can enjoy free swimming at Maldwyn Leisure Centre on Saturday from 13:45 to 14:45.

To add to the excitement, free court bookings are also on offer during the open weekend. Make sure to secure your slot in advance as bookings are required.

Richard Milne, Area Manager for Freedom Leisure in North Powys said:

"We have fantastic leisure centres throughout Powys and we look forward to welcoming our local community to our open weekend and trying out everything we have to offer. We hope this encourages people into healthy lifestyles, of becoming more active, more often"

Freedom Leisure, a not-for-profit leisure trust operate Leisure Centres across Powys in partnership with Powys County Council.
