At the Monty Club, the Full Montys dominated with a 10-4 win against The Herbs. Glyn Davies (3/3) sealed the victory with a match-winning frame, while two seven-ballers from Drew Hughes and standout performances from Ashely Isaac and Dave Ashton rounded off a commanding night.
Elsewhere, Llanbadarn secured an 8-6 win over the Misfits, snapping their unbeaten run, and Sws climbed up the table with a 9-5 win over Teasers. Talbot Tigers continued their excellent form with a 9-5 victory against the Lion Cubs, while Cefn Coch A earned their first point of the season in a 7-7 draw with Nomads.
Division Two has seen some early movers and shakers, with Jockey Jesters quickly adapting to life in the league. Their 12-2 demolition of The Queues last week put them into third place, with Ryan Hamer (3/3) leading the charge. After a tight opening, the Jesters won nine consecutive frames, with Liam Bishop unable to stop their momentum.
Meanwhile, Jones & Co delivered a commanding 10-4 victory over BullnHeifer. Rhys Jones (3/3) stole the show with flawless play, as his team stormed to a 6-2 lead and won the last four frames. The BullnHeifer side, led by Alex Miles (2/3), couldn't mount a comeback, struggling to keep up with the high-flying Jones & Co.
Bowling Ballers continued their dominance, securing their third consecutive win, this time 9-5 over the Outcasts. Reigning Premier League Player of the Year Luke Williams and Richard Morgan both notched 3/3 scores, helping the Ballers maintain their unbeaten start. The Outcasts remain rooted to the bottom of the table, still searching for their first win of the season.
Cefn Coch B also shone, beating the Desert Rats 9-5 with a key contribution from Robbie James (3/3), who secured the match frame. With three wins under their belt, Cefn Coch B trail the Bowling Ballers by just six aggregate frames.
In a battle of experience, Red Lion edged the Zimmers 9-5, pulling away with six consecutive frames after a close start. Rory Sheen (2/2) and John Bunn (3/3) led the charge for Red Lion, who capitalized on the Zimmers’ slow second-half performance.
Buck Yourself made a statement in Division Three, cruising to a 12-2 victory over Mo’s Misfits. Huw Wainwright (3/3) continues to impress with a 75% win rate, while Jake Meredith (3/3) sealed both points for Buck as early as the ninth frame. The Misfits are still waiting for their first point of the season, struggling to find form in a competitive league.
In the Dolau derby, the B side continued their winning streak, claiming their fifth victory in a row with a 9-5 result over Dolau A. With the first six frames split evenly, Dolau B surged ahead after a strong halftime rally, with Lydon Birch clinching the match frame. Birch remains one of the top players of the season, despite losing his first frame of the year.
The Courthouse Judges kept up with the pace at the top, battling to a 9-5 win over a spirited Midnight Bowlers side. Despite their lowly position, the Bowlers pushed the Judges throughout the match, with Sam Young (2/2) securing the final two frames to close out the victory. Earlier contributions from Richard Clifton and Dave Roberts (2/2 each) proved crucial as the Judges remain near the top of the standings.
The Lion Caerhowel also have a chance to close the gap on the top two with a rearranged match against the Woodenspooners this week, setting up another exciting round in Division Three. Monty Melts and the Outbowlers also delivered solid performances, with the latter edging Back Laners 8-6 in a mid-table clash.
