The latest polls show a historic first for our new constituency.

The latest general election polling from Electoral Calculus shows that for the first time in history, Montgomeryshire could be turning red following the upcoming general election.

    The poll which was conducted between 17 Jun 2024 to 21 Jun 2024, sampling 19,602 people with the Daily Mail, GB News and Findoutnow.

    For the first time in history, a Labour candidate could win the seat of Montgomeryshire. The poll aso reveals that Reform UK are projected to come in third place, pushing out the Liberal Democrat vote.

    The full results of the poll can be found below.

    • Steve Witherden (Labour) - 37.2%
    • Craig Williams (TBC) - 25.8%
    • Oliver Lewis (Reform UK) - 21.4%
    • Elwyn Vaughan (Plaid Cymru) - 6.8%
    • Glyn Preston (Liberal Democrat) - 6.5%
    • Jeremy Brignell-Thorp (Green Party) - 2.4%

    If correct, then next Friday could be a very historic day in our local area.
