Open Newtown have expressed their frustration over off-road motorbikes illegally riding around the Gorsedd Stones and community orchard in Dolerw Park.
The not for profit social enterprise, which manages the parkland on behalf of the council, has called for public assistance in identifying those responsible.

The Gorsedd Stones, a landmark in Dolerw Park, were erected in 1965 for the Eisteddfod and holds cultural and historical importance for the town. The presence of off-road motorbikes not only damages the grass and pathways but also poses safety risks to park visitors.
Section 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 makes it illegal to ride any mechanically propelled vehicle in public open spaces such as parks, play areas, and pavements.
Local residents are encouraged to report any sightings of off-road motorbikes in restricted areas to Open Newtown or directly to the police.
