As reported by the Powys County Times, the thief, identified as 22-year-old Mason Cartwright, had already admitted to 10 counts of theft at Tesco supermarket and Spar store during a court hearing at Wrexham Magistrates' Court earlier this month.

However, he failed to show up at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 16, to be sentenced for his crimes.
Mr Cartwright pleaded guilty to stealing items valued at a minimum of £240, which included alcohol, energy drinks, meat, food, and three sets of headphones. These offences occurred between October 10 and December 27, leaving local businesses in Newtown counting their losses.
Due to his failure to arrive on time to the court, the prosecutor applied for an arrest warrant, which was granted by Magistrates. This means that if Cartwright is apprehended by the police, he will be immediately brought before the court to be sentenced for his crimes.
