The incident led to a swift response from emergency services, including Dyfed-Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and the Welsh Ambulance Service.

Traffic in the area was delayed as emergency teams rushed to the scene. However, upon arrival, they discovered that the driver had already managed to exit the vehicle and was being treated by medical personnel.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue said: “At 12.50pm on Thursday, February 1, the Newtown crew was called to an incident along Llanfair Road, Newtown.
“Crew members responded to a road traffic collision involving one private motor vehicle that had collided with a tree. One casualty had self-extricated from the vehicle and was being assessed by paramedics at the scene on the arrival of the crew.
“Crew members proceeded to make the vehicle and the scene safe using small gear and absorbing granules. The crew left the scene at 2.11pm.
Dyfed Powys Police said:
“Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Llanfair Road, Newtown at just before 1pm today"
“A vehicle had collided with a tree and has since been recovered.”
