As a result, the road had to be closed, leading to traffic congestion as motorists sought alternate routes.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and the driver of the car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In a statement released by Shrewsbury Colleges, they stated,
"The college would like to inform parents and carers about a minor road traffic accident this morning involving the college’s bus from Powys. One student passenger reported a minor injury and was checked by paramedics on-site. Thankfully, all the other students and the driver escaped unharmed in the accident."
To ensure the well-being of all students involved, the college's student services team promptly contacted each student.
They also confirmed that a replacement bus has been arranged to transport the students to college, and alternative arrangements will be made for their return home later today.
Furthermore, the statement assured the public that a normal bus service will resume its operations in the morning.
