If you're registered to vote, you can cast your vote today between 7am and 10pm for the next Member of Parliament for Montgomeryshire & Glwndwr.

All 13,026 registered voters from Newtown and the surrounding area are split into their community areas, which depends on where you live. If you have recieved your poll card through the post, this will tell you where to vote. Below is a list of communities in our area, and the location of polling stations.

  • Aberhafesp - Aberhafesp Community Centre (MA)
  • Bettws - Bettws Community Centre (ME)
  • Dwyriw - Adfa Village Hall (ML(A) & ML(B))
  • Dolfor - Dolfor Community Hall (MP(A))
  • Kerry - Kerry Community Centre (MP(B))
  • Sarn - Sarn Village Hall (MP(C))
  • Manafon - New Mills Village Hall (MMM)
  • Mochdre - Mochdre Old School (MPP)
  • Newtown North - Northside Recreation Centre (MQQ(A))
  • Newtown West - Crescent Christian Centre (MQQ(B))
  • Newtown Central - Maldwyn Leisure Centre - Station 1 (MQQ(C))
  • Newtown East - Methodist Church (MQQ(D))
  • Newtown South - Maldwyn Leisure Centre - Station 1 (MQQ(E))
  • Tregynon - Tregynon Village Hall (MTT)

Our Member of Parliament represents our area in the UK Parliament, which in turn sets who will become the Prime Minister, and who will become part of the Government. The UK Government manages defence, welfare, constitutional law and most taxes.

Voters will need to show accepted form of photo ID to vote in the election. As a voter, you will be able to use expired photo ID if you are still recognisable from the photo.
