The annual easter egg hunt organised by Newtown Rotary Club took place on Saturday in Dolerw Park, despite the weather conditions.
Despite facing a blend of hail, rain, wind, and fleeting glimpses of sunshine, the event drew an impressive turnout of 130 children along with their families and friends, all eager to partake in the festivities.

The day saw youngsters enthusiastically scouring the grounds in search of painted stones and ducks, their excitement undeterred by the weather. Children were rewarded with an Easter egg and a smile on their faces.
Organisers extended their appreciation to the generous supporters and contributors who played a pivotal role in making the event memorable. Spar Newtown (Blakemore Retail Ltd) was acknowledged for its support, along with Tina and Mike Lovatt for their generous donations of eggs, and Melissa Jones for her contributions of raffle prizes and delectable cakes.
In the spirit of giving back, any surplus eggs from the event will be donated to the Hope Children's Hospice Oswestry.
