Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council hosted a lively 'Picnic in the Park' event on Sunday at Newtown's Town Hall grounds to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
The council expressed its gratitude on social media to all those who contributed to making the day special for the community.

The event featured an array of entertainment, food, and activities for all ages. The Textile Junkies provided face painting and a photo booth, while Jp's Hog Roasts supplied a delicious hog roast for attendees. Stwff and Things offered refreshments, and Scoopalicious delighted guests with their ice cream and candy floss. For the younger visitors, Emma’s Donkeys Llanidloes provided donkey rides, Magic Kev and Tony Rowley entertained with their children's shows, and AJS Bouncy Castle Hire set up a bouncy castle and drop slide.
The council also thanked St John's Ambulance and the Gwent and Powys Army Cadet Force for volunteering their time and ensuring the event ran smoothly and safely.
It is clear from the photos that the event was a fantastic success.
