The board expressed skepticism towards various aspects of the proposals, with particular concerns raised over the introduction of a "bespoke" land ambulance service.
Many members felt that the plans were lacking in crucial information and were not convinced of the potential benefits of the proposed changes.
The review comes after two years of discussions and consultations regarding the proposed plans which would result in the closure of air bases in Welshpool and Caernarfon in favour of creating a new one near Rhyl.
The review has sparked outrage among residents in Mid Wales who fear that it will result in longer emergency response times in rural areas. In light of the potential changes, many residents have taken action by either halting their direct debits to the air ambulance charity or contemplating discontinuing their donations altogether.
While this vote will not prevent the closure of the air ambulance base on its own, it does add a crucial dissenting voice to the final decision-making process. The fate of the base will ultimately be decided by a majority vote among all of Wales' health boards.
