Books of Condolence are available for members of the public to sign at Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council offices in Broad Street.

Books of Condolence are available for members of the public to sign at Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town council offices between 11am – 3pm Monday – Friday. The books will be available to sign until Tuesday 20th September at 3pm.

County Council books of Condolence are also available at Newtown Library. Alternatively, an online book of condolence is available by visiting www.royal.uk

A spokesperson for the town council also confirmed that members of the public are also able to leave flowers in memory of the Queen in the War Memorial Gardens. The flowers will be taken away to be composted, and with the compost a tree will be planted in the Town, in memory of the Sovereign.

On the day of the funeral, there will be an opportunity to observe a two-minute silence at 11am. The Mayor, with the Town Clerk, will lead the silence from outside the Town Council Offices at The Cross, Broad Street.

The town council also confirmed that council meetings and Mayoral engagements are cancelled until the day after the funeral.
