This prestigious license allows the club to offer the highest level of support to their young players, including access to qualified coaching staff, strength and conditioning sessions, analysis sessions, and a comprehensive review and self-reflection programme.

This achievement is the culmination of 12 months of hard work by the club, and in a statement from the club, they extended their gratitude to the academy staff, part-time support staff, players, and academy parents for their dedication and commitment during this time. A special mention was given to the board of directors for their unwavering support of the Category A application.

With this license, Newtown AFC joins the ranks of a select few elite academy environments in Wales. The club has said that it is committed to further developing its programme to provide players with the best possible platform to reach their potential.
