With a comprehensive agenda in place, the meeting aims to address key issues relating to the development of the town, engagement with various sectors, and the introduction of innovative initiatives to further enhance community engagement and cohesion.

Among the highlights of the agenda are updates from sector representatives including business, 3rd sector, and the local authority.

A notable feature of the meeting will be a presentation by guest speaker Jo Lewis from Mid Wales Tourism on iMi, a new customer loyalty and behavior tracking app tailored for Wales.

This initiative is aimed at boosting tourist engagement and support within the region.

Additionally, reports and updates on various community initiatives such as the Independent Newtown Facebook group, the business WhatsApp group, and the Urdd 2024 best dressed town competition will be discussed.

The partnership meeting will also address common issues within the town such as the gravel car park litter problem, gull activity, and provide a list of upcoming events geared towards community involvement.

Councillor Chris Jones emphasized the importance of community engagement and the critical role that residents play in shaping the future of Newtown.

The Town Partnership, which boasts well over 100 members and continues to grow, provides a platform for individuals to voice their ideas, concerns, and actively contribute to the betterment of the community.

For further information or specific queries, individuals can reach out to Councillor Chris Jones at chris.jones@newtown.org.uk.
