Owned by Gareth and Iona Muscroft, they thanked customers on social media for their loyal support over the long period, saying that the time had come to retire and "put their feet up".
The chip shop, which is a hit with the locals will be sorely missed.
The business was recently ranked by residents as one of the top 5 fish and chip shops in Powys according to the Powys County Times.
