Newtown residents and visitors are urged to brace themselves for a day of heavy rainfall and the possibility of flooding, as per the latest Met Office forecast.
The forecast indicates that today will be unsettled, with heavy and persistent rain expected, particularly in the northern regions and over the hills.

The north of the country is likely to experience the heaviest downpours, with the rain persisting for much of the day. With a maximum temperature of 19°C expected, the day is also forecasted to turn breezier as it progresses.
