The warning said to expect icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths and that people should take care as to avoid injury from slips/falls.

A fine evening with clear skies. This means temperatures will drop quickly overnight leading to a widespread sharp frost with icy stretches likely. Light winds. Minimum temperature -2 °C.
Saturday:
A cold and frosty start, with some bright skies, before a band of rain, sleet and snow moves eastwards. Winds will gradually strengthen, particularly around coastal areas and over hills. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Turning milder on Sunday with bright spells and patchy rain later. Some heavier rain on Monday, then cold again on Tuesday with wintry showers. Often windy.
