The council's endorsement comes after an exhaustive evaluation of a comprehensive report prepared by the esteemed place practitioner, Chris Jones Regeneration. This independent expert, well-versed in the field, meticulously examined the feasibility of creating a town partnership that would bring together the collective efforts of public, private, and voluntary organizations.

Upon reviewing inputs from various interested parties and conducting careful analysis, Chris Jones concluded that a town partnership holds great potential, contingent on the wholehearted commitment, time, effort, and valuable resources from the community members. The unwavering enthusiasm and support demonstrated by all involved parties have been heartily appreciated by the council.

Recognising the pivotal role of collaboration in achieving success, the council has taken a strategic step by sponsoring the next phase of the project – the establishment of the Town Partnership.

However, rather than leading the initiative themselves, the council has entrusted consultant, Chris Jones to serve in an independent and impartial capacity. This approach aims to promote the partnership as a shared resource, not confined to the council but embraced and owned by every sector of our vibrant community.

Further information about the partnership will be released shortly.
