Town council ‘delighted’ at weekend events

Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council have expressed their joy and support for the vibrant weekend of events that recently took place, bringing residents and visitors together in a spirit of celebration.

Sunday kept the momentum going with the Newtown Open March Contest, where the Newtown Silver Band showcased their talents and dedication.

The band's stellar performance earned them the deportment award and a commendable second place overall.

The Newtown Training Band also made a mark by jointly winning the competition for the highest-placed youth band.

The events were made possible thanks to the town council's tourism event grant.
