A new canopy is due to be installed in the town park this week

The canopy, which was purchased by Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council using money arising from Covid-19 Recovery, is finally being installed in the Town Park.

The scheme, which was first discussed in 2020, has seen battles and confusion over suitable locations.

The canopy is to feature a purple fabric roof to cemorate the Queen's Platnium Jubilee.
