Sam Richards and his team have generously extended their support to the people of Newtown by offering occasional monitoring of key areas such as Dolerw Park, Trehafren Fields, Trehafren Hill, and Vaynor Fields. These efforts are geared towards helping residents and visitors feel safer while enjoying these public spaces.
"While we are ambassadors for Open Newtown, our main role is that of Ranger," explained Sam Richards. He highlighted the team's readiness to assist individuals in need, provide information, and offer support where possible. The rangers are well-trained and licensed to carry out their duties, including emergency first aid protocols.
Established in 2022, SR Security & K9 Services initially offered security services nationwide. However, Sam Richards emphasized that the local community, particularly in Newtown, remains a top priority. Their focus is on delivering a reliable, welcoming, and professional service to the residents.
Residents are reminded that in cases of dangerous activities, the primary point of contact should be the Police via 101 or 999, especially if there is a risk to life. Additionally, individuals can report anti-social behavior, vandalism, dangerous motorbike usage, fly-tipping, or unauthorized camping on green spaces through the feedback form on the Open Newtown website. This information will be promptly directed to Sam and his team for assistance.
With SR Security's Hi-Visibility patrols around the town's green areas, Newtown can look forward to a safe and inviting environment for all community members and visitors alike.
