Among the honorees are Ann Fychan, Carys and Emyr Evans, Delma Thomas, Heulwen Davies, Hywel Glyn Jones, and Menna Blake. These volunteers have collectively dedicated over 220 years to the Urdd’s work, making them integral members of the organization.

One of the honorees, Hywel Glyn Jones from Newtown, has a deep connection to the Urdd, with his family being involved in the organization for generations. He has held various leadership positions within the Urdd, including serving as treasurer for over twenty years.

Delma Thomas, from Caersws, has also been recognized for her long-standing commitment to the Urdd. Originally from Pembrokeshire, Delma has been a key figure in the Maldwyn region for 40 years, organizing Eisteddfodau and serving as the Urdd Eisteddfod Secretary in 1988.

Llio Maddocks, Eisteddfod yr Urdd Director, expressed her gratitude for the honorees' dedication, stating that they have been the faces of the Urdd for decades. She said:

"For the children and young people of Maldwyn and beyond, for Welsh speakers and learners, these seven have been the faces of the Urdd for decades. They are true benefactors of the Urdd - between them, they have given over 220 years of support to the organisation. We are extremely grateful for their invaluable dedication, and it will be a privilege and a pleasure to honour them at this year’s festival."

The volunteers will be recognized at this year's festival, which will be held in Meifod from May 27th to June 1st. Tickets for the Urdd Eisteddfod, including the Gŵyl Triban Festival, can be purchased on the Urdd website at https://www.urdd.cymru/eisteddfod
