Mr. Williams later shared his enthusiasm for the visit on social media, highlighting the significance of Nidec Drives as a truly exceptional business rooted in the local community. He praised the company as a shining example of a successful global enterprise that calls Newtown their home.

During the visit, Mr. Davies and Mr. Williams had the opportunity to explore the factory premises, meet with employees, and witness firsthand the impressive million-pound investment that the company has recently unveiled.

Nidec has become known as an invaluable employer in Mid Wales, standing as one of the largest companies in the region.

In his social media post, Mr. Williams also expressed his admiration for the business's origins, recognising it as a home-grown enterprise that has flourished with support from entities such as the Welsh Development Agency.

He even shared his sentiment of wishing to see the reintroduction of a similar agency to further bolster local businesses and drive economic growth in the area.
