According to Dyfed Powys Police, the incident occurred around 1:35 pm on Tuesday 23rd April and involved a lorry and two cars on the A483 stretch between Dolfor roundabout and Kerry Road roundabout.

The collision resulted in the tragic loss of a female driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities have since notified her next of kin, extending their deepest condolences during this difficult time.
The gravity of the situation prompted the closure of the bypass, disrupting traffic flow and prompting emergency response efforts.
Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service swiftly mobilized crews from Newtown, Welshpool, Llanfair Caereinion, and Llanidloes to the scene.
The closure of the road lasted into the late hours of the night, with authorities working diligently to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure the safety of all road users.
The section of road has also had a temporary 30mph limit applied while repairs take place.
