The entries will be judged by the town council and the winning entry, turned into a real flag and flow outside the Town Council offices in Broad Street for a month. The winner will also be invited to a full council meeting to meet the Mayor and Councillors and receive a public acknowledgement of their achievement.
Your design can include elements such as historical figures from Newtown’s past, iconic landmarks, or anything else that symbolises Newtown.
To enter the competition, simply review the design requirements and competition terms, use the A3 template, and submit your design electronically to chris.lewis@newtown.org.uk or drop it off at the Town Council offices. Hard copies of the competition details and template are also available at the Town Council offices for your convenience.
The competition will run until midnight on June 24th, 2024, and is open to all residents, students, and workers in Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn.
The template and more information is available here.
