Trains suspended due to collision
The Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury line is currently closed along with the A470 at Talerddig after two trains have collided 'at low speed'.

All train services between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury are tonight suspended due to an incident on the line.

The A470 at Talerddig is also closed due to an 'emergency incident' according to Dyfed Powys Police.
According to the Flightradar, an Air Ambulance has landed at the scene.
Two passenger trains have collided.
British Transport Police have said tonight the collision was at low speed.
A spokesperson said:
"Officers were called to the line near Llanbrynmair at 7.29pm today (21 October) to reports of a low-speed train collision involving two trains.
“Paramedics, Fire and Rescue, and Dyfed Powys Police are all in attendance and the incident is ongoing. "
A joint statement from Network Rail and Transport for Wales:
“Emergency services are responding to an incident near Llanbrynmair in Powys, Mid Wales, involving two trains – the 18.31 Transport for Wales service from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and the 19.09 Transport for Wales service from Macyhnlleth to Shrewsbury.
“The line is closed as they carry out their work. Our main priority is the safety of our passengers and colleagues, and we are doing all we can to support the emergency services as they respond to the incident.
“We would encourage passengers to plan ahead and check journeys before travelling via National Rail Enquiries.”
Residents reported a large emergency services presence including road ambulances and an air ambulance.
A coastguard helicopter is also at the scene, as well as firefighters.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to reports of a train accident at 19:34 BST.
It is likely that the line will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd October 2024) for some time too.
