Newtown faced a tough battle against TNS at Park Hall last week, with controversy off the pitch dominating the story.
The match, held on Friday 3rd January provided fans with a display of skill and determination from both sides.

Newtown, got off to a quick start as Jason Oswell netted a goal within the first minute of the game, setting the tone for an intense showdown. However, TNS fought back tirelessly, ultimately securing a narrow victory with a final score of TNS 2-1 Newtown.
TNS showcased their resilience with goals scored by Aramide Oteh at the 63rd minute mark and Josh Pask deep into injury time at the 90+9-minute mark. Newtown put up a fierce fight throughout the game including brilliant saves from goalkeeper, Sam Ussher. However TNS managed to hold on to their lead until the final whistle.
However the match was mirred with controversy due to a comment on social media by TNS owner, Mike Harris.
Newtown fans were quick to scold Mr Harris and some called for a bycott of Monty's Brewery, who is owned by the local businessman.
