Residents and visitors in Newtown faced disruption today as Kerry Road was closed following a road traffic accident involving a van.

The incident occurred earlier today when a van was left on its side after a single-vehicle collision. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident.

In a statement, Dyfed Powys Police confirmed that they received a report of the incident at around 3.20pm. The authorities took immediate action to close the road to allow for the recovery of the vehicle.

Providing an update on the situation, Dyfed-Powys Police stated, "The road is closed whilst the vehicle is recovered. No injuries were reported. The road is due to reopen shortly."

After necessary recovery operations were carried out, Kerry Road has now been reopened for normal traffic flow.
